We Are MIT Enterprise Forum
The purpose of the MIT Enterprise Forum is to equip entrepreneurs so that they can solve problems more quickly. MIT Enterprise Forum was established in 1978. We are one of the oldest entrepreneurial-support organizations in the world, and the only one with regional chapters that is affiliated with an academic institution and focused on the success of early-stage technology entrepreneurs.
Our Mission to Equip Entrepreneurs
We inform, connect and coach technology entrepreneurs—enabling them to rapidly transform ideas into world-changing companies. We are a global network of local organizations, inspired by the Massachusetts Institution of Technology (MIT), and open to the world.
The Pittsburgh Chapter
MIT Enterprise Forum Pittsburgh (MITEFP), also known as Enterprise Forum Pittsburgh (EFP), helps early-stage technology entrepreneurs succeed more quickly by offering tailored local and regional programs. We believe that technology is a powerful resource that can solve big problems, and we know that entrepreneurs want to solve problems. They have the capacity to make a difference by bringing technology innovations to market. Enterprise Forum Pittsburgh delivers tools and content to help entrepreneurs across all industries advance in today’s technology driven marketplace. We bring together the best minds on behalf of local entrepreneurs. The result is a collaborative environment that feeds the needs of growth-stage entrepreneurs, as well as those start-ups that are gaining a foothold in the marketplace. We draw from a wealth of expertise and experience across all business sectors. Since the Chapter was established in 1987, multiple Pittsburgh businesses have traced their business successes directly back to the partnerships and revenue-generating ideas that grew out of their involvement with the Forum. Additionally, MITEF maintains a collaborative relationship with a number of entrepreneurial support organizations across the Greater Pittsburgh Region, broadening opportunities of success for its membership.
A Unique Approach
MIT Enterprise Forum events extend well beyond the sharing of good information. Each MITEF event is purpose driven and engagement oriented.
